WORLD WIDE WADE. Dwyane Wade's empire is larger than ever, and he plans to keep it growing. Acting. Restaurants. A clothing line. But the Heat superstar is finding that expanding one's horizons doesn't come without consequences.

-- Wade on basketball: "Basketball is more than a sport to me. It's my way out. My best friend. I get a feeling on the court, like I'm another person. I don't feel like Dwyane Wade. I feel like I matter."

-- Wade on learning: He enlarges his vocabulary one word a week. “Immaculate was one,” he says. “Cohorts. Lethargic....”

-- Wade on confidence: “My confidence comes from my upbringing. Nobody believed in me. They said I’d never make it.” He stopped paying attention to what people said a long time ago.
