Becomes fourth HEAT player to capture First Team honors MIAMI, 05/13 – The NBA announced today that Miami HEAT guard Dwyane Wade has been named to the All-NBA First Team, becoming just the fourth player in franchise history to receive First Team honors. Wade joins Tim Hardaway (1996-97), Alonzo Mourning (1998-99) and Shaquille O’Neal (2004-05 and 2005-06) as the only HEAT players to be named to the All-NBA First Team. This marks the fourth time in Wade’s career he has received All-NBA honors. He previously earned Second Team honors in 2004-05 and 2005-06 and Third Team honors in 2006-07, making him the first player in franchise history to earn All-NBA honors four times. Joining Wade on the All-NBA First Team are Cleveland’s LeBron James, Dallas’ Dirk Nowitzki, L.A. Lakers’ Kobe Bryant and Orlando’s Dwight Howard. The All-NBA Teams were chosen by a panel of 122 sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada.
